Delivery Costs AI
In buildShows a shopper what delivery will actually cost, on the product page, before they commit to anything. It asks for one thing — their postcode — and it never touches their cart to find out.
What it
does
Delivery cost is the question a shopper asks before they buy and most stores answer after. They add the item, start the checkout, and find out there what it costs to get it to them — which is the most expensive possible moment to be surprised.
The shopper types one thing
Their postcode. No street address, no account, no state dropdown to get past first. And usually not even that: it remembers what they typed and fills it in on every other product they look at.
It never touches their cart
The quote runs on a throwaway cart of its own that the shopper never sees. Nothing is added to the real one to get a price, and nothing is cleared out of it afterwards. A shopper who was mid-order stays mid-order.
It answers in about two seconds
Real carrier rates for that destination, not a table you have to keep up to date. While they arrive the page holds two rate-shaped rows in their place, so nothing on the page jumps when the prices land.
Every option, ranked and in your words
Cheapest first, with at most two badges so the badges still mean something. Carrier names your customers do not recognise become the words you would have used, and the ones you never wanted shown do not show.
One postcode,
priced
What the shopper enters, and what comes back, on one product. The rates below are real ones we measured against our own store; the layout is the designed behaviour rather than a recording. The last exchange is the one worth reading — the dead end is a designed state here, not a spinner that ends in nothing.
How it
goes in
Four steps, and none of them touch your rates. It reads what your store already quotes and shows it earlier. Your checkout keeps doing exactly what it does now.
Install
Add it to your store and drop the block onto your product page in the theme editor, where you can see it while you move it.
Step 01Pick how it sits on the page
A quiet link that opens, an open panel, or a card that is always there. Colours, corners and type come from your theme settings, not ours.
Step 02Say what the rates should be called
Rename, reorder, recolour or hide any rate your store returns, and set the free shipping threshold you want a shopper to see themselves getting closer to.
Step 03Watch where they are shopping from
Counts of the destinations people asked about, and the ones you had no rate for. Aggregate counts only — we never store a postcode against a person.
Step 04The
detail
The storefront half of this one is built and proven against real carrier rates. The merchant side is not finished, so the last two rows stay blank rather than carry something we have to walk back.
Ask us
about it
If you sell anything heavy, bulky or freight-only, tell us the postcode your rates argue about most. We will run it and send you back what your own store returns.
